I used to struggle with finding the right balance between how often I should shampoo my hair because shampoos on the market used to severely dry out my hair.

So, in an attempt to find a solution to this, I would shampoo my hair like once every 2-3 months. 

Having textured hair, shampooing too frequently often leads to dryness and brittleness.

Even when I would deep condition after my shampoo sessions, my hair never seemed to retain its moisture.

After hearing similar stories from other women with textured hair, I knew I had to finally find a solution.

I was fine with my method of infrequent shampooing because it worked for me but I l also realized that this wasn’t the best solution for everyone else to be able to stretch their washes for so long.

Some like to shampoo more often and shouldn't be limited to the amount of times they can shampoo out of fear of the shampoo being too drying.

So, being the problem solver that I am, I knew that it was time to finally create a solution. I wanted to create a shampoo that was cleansing but also had detangling properties.

I decided to take matters into my own hands and started experimenting with different shampoos.

I went to the beauty supply store and bought a few shampoos on the market that were geared towards textured hair. My goal was to try them to see how I could improve upon each of them. 

As someone who has always tested my own hair formulas, I was determined to create a shampoo formula that I could use and stand behind. 

During my experiment with the store bought shampoo, my hair became a tangled and matted mess.

My hair was dry and immediately tangled up like a cobweb.

I lost a ton of density as well as some of my length.

It was a super disappointing experience but it was confirmation that I was on the right track for the need of formulating a non-drying liquid shampoo.

Using my personal experience and formulation knowledge, I went to the lab and whipped up a hydrating shampoo that also has detangling capabilities.

When I used it, I was immediately able to detangle my hair while shampooing and the feeling was delightful and relieving.

It was at that moment that I felt like my mission was accomplished.

I knew that I had created a solution that was needed in the textured hair market and that was specifically formulated just for you!
