Divine Timing

Divine Timing

We’ve all believed for miracles and breakthroughs. We hear the testimonies of others who have  believed for financial help, recovery from sickness, or to a turn around for their children. What a wonderful feeling when we can rejoice in what God has done for us and others. When you finally get that call or news you’ve bene waiting for. Celebrating is the easy part. But what about what comes before? The waiting.

Blessing and breakthroughs don’t always happen overnight. On the contrary, many are years in the making. Let’s be real: It can be HARD. Waiting and wanting for what seems like ages can take a toll.

As we mentioned early. It can be so easy to praise Him once we get our breakthrough, but how about we praise Him today? Just because it has not come yet does not mean God  is not faithful. So send up a praise for his goodness everyday.

We create the arbitrary timelines in our head because that is what works for us. And when things do not work out or come together by the date we have in our head what happens? We lose faith. We become upset with the world and angry with God. Or we assume it won’t happen. We need to understand that it's not our timeline, it's His.

There are folks waiting for a child that have lost hope. People who have been out of work for months who are depressed. Folks who feel like their spouse will never find them or frankly doesn’t exist. All because of what we view as a reasonable timeline. Put your trust in Him and lean not on your own understanding. If we trust that He has a plan for our lives, we WILL be able to walk in the assurance of His love and provision.

Many of us have heard what is commonly known as the Serenity Prayer and we would like to share it again with you now.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
forever in the next.
Amen.

There is so much power in this prayer and it can apply to all of us and any stage in life.

Ask yourself this question: Has He ever abandon you before?

When we look back on our lives we can see the presence of His love in so many aspects of our lives. This is not to say that life cannot be full of hardship and difficult situations, but you are standing here today, reading this, because he has brought you through. He provided grace when our rent was due. He has provided comfort when  we have lost a loved one. He has provided peace when our lives were full of chaos. His blessings and provisions are endless. We simply have to trust that He is always right on time.

We encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit for comfort as you navigate this season of patience. Know that your blessing is coming.
