After a childhood of chemically straightening her hair, Ceata E. Lash decided to make the big chop and transition to her natural hair. Little did she know that going back to her naturally thick and curly hair would mean she’d be faced with the impossible task of finding a hair accessory to hold and style her hair… That is, until she came up with the idea of the PuffCuff...
Ameka created Strands of Faith because she felt that certain textures were more glamorized than others and because she wanted clean formulas that would moisturize her kinky strands for more than one day at a time.
Glamorization of certain textures have been seen time and time again throughout society. Ameka grew up relaxing my hair like many other black women and never had the opportunity to experience her true texture.
Ameka believes that all strands are beautiful and should be celebrated regardless of the hair texture or type!
