When You Remember the Battle Is Already Won

When You Remember the Battle Is Already Won

There are some battles we lose in our minds before we ever have the chance to fight them.

We tell ourselves the answer will probably be no.

We assume the opportunity won't work out.

We replay the difficult conversation before it happens and imagine everything that could go wrong.

We convince ourselves that we're not ready, not qualified, or that what we're facing is simply too big.

And before we know it, we're carrying the weight of an outcome that hasn't even happened yet.

But what if you chose a different posture?

What if, instead of walking into your next challenge expecting defeat, you walked into it believing that no matter what happens, you have what you need to face it?

That's what this Faithfirmation® is about:

My battles are already won before I fight them.

It doesn't mean that everything will happen exactly the way you want it to. It doesn't mean there won't be hard moments, disappointments, closed doors, or circumstances outside of your control.

It means you don't have to let fear determine the outcome before you've even begun.

Sometimes winning looks like getting the opportunity.

Sometimes winning looks like finally having the courage to ask.

Sometimes winning looks like speaking up for yourself.

Sometimes winning looks like walking away.

And sometimes the victory is simply discovering that the thing you were so afraid of facing didn't have nearly as much power over you as you thought it did.

There is something powerful about deciding that whatever is on the other side of this moment, you will be okay.

You will learn. You will adjust. You will keep moving. And you will keep becoming.

So before you walk into that room, send that email, have that conversation, make that decision, or take that next step, remind yourself:

My battles are already won before I fight them.

Not because you know exactly what will happen next, but because you've decided that fear doesn't get to write the ending before the story even begins.

A Moment to Reflect

What battle have you already started losing in your mind before you've even given yourself the opportunity to face it?

Think about what might change if you approached it believing you were capable of handling whatever comes next.

Go back to the Faithfirmation® above. Screenshot it, save it to your phone, and speak it over yourself throughout the week whenever you need the reminder. 💚

Keep the Faith!
